New Look and Media Sizes
6 March 2008 - 11:05:47pm I've been getting my hands dirty with the CSS code and I've given this section a new colour scheme and look so that it fits in more uniformly with the rest of the site. Also, I guess I'd better mention that if you want to view the full size images you're better off browsing the site with a broadband connection and a touch of patience. I've optimised the images for the web today but as some are quite detailed there is only so much optimising that can be done before information starts to get lost. Therefore I've tried my best to strike a balance. If anyone would like an unoptimised full copy of a certificate or something sent to them then please contact me with your request.
Family Tree Changes
3 March 2008 - 10:52:14am As returning users will be able to see from this page, I've been doing some updates to the tree recently. The tree now includes a lot of multimedia items; photos, certificates and census returns. Some of these items were previously available on the website but I've moved pretty much all of the here. The reasons for that are firstly, privacy, especially concerning persons that are still living. I also felt that certain certificates, particularly death certificates are probably best kept for authorised users only. Secondly, it's actually easier for me to do it this way and it's also more complete. You'll find a lot more media attached to items on this tree then you'll ever find on the main website. There's now also this news section and some statistical information on the welcome page. Enjoy!
At this moment there are no selected Favorites. The admin can add Favorites to display at startup.
