Re Gooderhams
I have just discovered a Mary Anne Gooderham who married one of my ancestors William Canham. She would have been born around 1809 and was probably married before 1833 when she had twins, Alphred and Anmaretta. In 1838 she had a son William and she died in 1840. TIt is from Williams birth certificate that I found her maiden name. Her Canham family are found in the 1841 census at Thorndon, Hartismere, Suffolk with William listed as a widower. Being pre 1837 I have been unable to find any information on her parents but there seem to be a lot of Gooderhams around Suffolk at this time. Would anyone have come across my Mary Anne.
thanking you

Hello all,
I'm appealing for information on a Mornington Cannon Murdoch, born in December 1899 in Oldham, Lancashire. He appears on the 1901 census living in Toxteth Park in Liverpool, but appears to disappear from then on.
His parents are Douglas Charles Stuart Murdoch and Josephine Murdoch (formerly Tipping, formerly Lezart).
He also had a sibling Kempton Cannon Murdoch (they're named after the famous jockies) who died in Newmarket, Suffolk on the 12th of January 1953.
If anyone can help me with some more information, I'd be most grateful.

Hi All,

I never know how much or little information to put on forum messages, so if you want more info, let me know.

I've been researching my Bird line for 18 months. My paternal grandfather's mother was (Sarah) Elizabeth Bird, b.1869, Toronto, Canada (her father was posted in Canada with the Royal Army Hospital Corps), she was married to John Jonathan Jones, b.1868, Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Elizabeth's parents were: Edward Bird (b. 1838, Souldern, Oxfordshire) & Ellen Burns (b. 1847, Liverpool, Lancs). Elizabeth's siblings were: Mary Jane, b. 1865, Montreal, Canada; Louisa Ellen, b. 1868, Toronto; Beatrice Annie, b. 1872, Colchester, Essex; Robert Edward, b. 1874, Colchester; Ada, b. 1877, Colchester; William Henry, b. 1878, Colchester; Martha, b. 1880, Colchester; Amy, b. 1882, Cowley, Oxford & Annie, b. 1884, Cowley, Oxford.

Edward's parents were: Robert Bird (b. 1809, Souldern) & Jane Warmington (b. 1815, Souldern). They had 5 children all born in Souldern.

Robert's parents are a bit sketchy! Edward Bird (died 1835, Souldern, aged 67 years) & his wife Elizabeth (died in 1836, Souldern, aged 64 years). They had 6 children, either in Aynho, Northamptonshire or Souldern.

Apart from that, I'm stuck!
